A small piece of Important knowledge to the muslims of Today who take the Kuffar (Disbelievers in the Religion of Allah) as their friends in this world amd are totally cool with it:-
Time has changed and people are drowning into the notions of “Modernism” and “Humanity” and forgetting the values of their own perfect religion.
Sadly, Muslims too have got some “Broad-Minded” thinking which has clearly violated the Simple yet ought to be followed broad rules of Islam.
Befriending the disbelievers is now too mainstream as there is lack of Fear and Love of Allah swt in the tiny lil’ hearts of Muslims today. What seems so cool and normal today is not exactly what it is. Staying in the company of disbelievers (Hindus, Sikh, Christians, Jews etc) sooner or later, naturally effects the behaviours, moral values and ideology of the Muslims towards their own religion.Oh YES IT DOES!!
Your peer group definitely influences you in all ways.Choose your friends wisely.
In an authentic Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (saws) said:
“A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend.”
(Abu Dawood and At Tirmidhi)
And when we indulge in friendship with the Enemies of Allah, Would Shaytan ever leave such an opportunity to deviate us from Siraat Al Mustakeem?
Allah says in the Qur’an:-
“You (O Muhammad) will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred (people). For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Rooh (proofs, light and true guidance) from Himself”
Based on this, it is not permissible for a Muslim to feel any love in his heart towards the enemies of Allaah who are in fact his enemies too.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth”
Are Muslims not enough? Is the Ummah not enough? If you find no one.. is Allah not enough for you? Why the Enemies of Allah?
WHY do you then deliberately want to fall into sins and transgress the limits your Lord has set? For the Sake of this Dunya?
Allah the Exalted says in the Qur’an:
“And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so- and-so as a friend! He has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. And Satan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.”
[al Furqan 25:27-29]
The ayah above goes for the disbelievers and for the deviant friends as well who misguide us and take us away from Deen.
The rules and limitations have been set long ago.. and for the ones who cross their limits, they have to pay the price in the Akhira or in the Dunya.
In the meanwhile, never forget Allah is the Most Merciful, the Oft Forgiving.. Repentance- Tawbah can break Mountains..!
If we are truly concerned about our fate, we must come to this realisation: those who take us away from remembering Allah, from obeying Him and His Prophet (pbuh), those who fail to remind us of our daily prayers and those who do not give us sincere advice in regard to our Deen; such are really our foes and not our friends.
Bring your heart back from those who are dangerous for your Imaan. Don’t be Heedless.. Don’t be HEEDLESS!! Your non Muslim friend might have the best of personality but don’t forget the fact that he/she still is a “Disbeliever”
Take heed before the inevitable Day comes when we are called to account for our actions.
That day.. Will be terrible for us if we don’t wake up today. Change for the Sake of Allah..!
Islam doesn’t teach you to be unkind to the Mankind.Be kind when required yet maintain a distance. Be an inspiration, make your actions so inspiring that the disbelievers believe in your Deen by seeing it’s beauty all over you.. but safeguard yourself from their sins and kufr.
May Allah swt help us be righteous friends and grant us righteous friends. :)
